First day of school!

Here is my little first grader in our traditional "In front of the school sign" pic! We have one for every year McKenzie went to school here. They are so fun to look back on!
What's cool about being a first grader? You get a desk! :0) ...and yes, he is growing his hair out! He thinks he wants it to look like a rock star - I think I may shave it in the night!


McKenzie was not so excited about me taking her picture.
I guess It's not cool to take her picture in front of the middle school sign!....even if it is a tradition!
Instead this is what I got this year..........

Dropping her off at middle school was brutal on the Mama!
Suddenly I was no longer dropping her off at our little elementary school, but a middle school with 1100 kids! There was a sea of kids and I could feel her panic as she looked around for a familiar face. Thank goodness she was able to find a friend from cheer. She got out of the car, held her head up high, and disappeared in to the crowd of kids! She did great! She loves the school and has even mastered opening her locker!:0)

I'm really proud of these kids!
